Om Jai Lakshmi Mata is the most beloved Lakshmi aarti, sung on Fridays and during Diwali puja across India. It praises the goddess of wealth and fortune through her many divine attributes.

Verse 1

ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता, मैया जय लक्ष्मी माता। तुमको निशिदिन सेवत, हर विष्णु विधाता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Om jai Lakshmi mata, maiya jai Lakshmi mata. Tumko nishidin sewat, Har Vishnu Vidhata. Om jai Lakshmi mata.

Om, glory to Mother Lakshmi! Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma (the creator) serve you day and night. Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

Verse 2

उमा रमा ब्रह्माणी, तुम ही जग-माता। सूर्य-चन्द्रमा ध्यावत, नारद ऋषि गाता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Uma Rama Brahmani, tum hi jag-mata. Surya-chandrama dhyavat, Narad Rishi gata. Om jai Lakshmi mata.

You are Uma, Rama, Brahmani – you are the Mother of the Universe. The sun and moon meditate on you; sage Narada sings your glory. Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

Verse 3

दुर्गा रूप निरञ्जनी, सुख सम्पत्ति दाता। जो कोई तुमको ध्यावत, ऋद्धि सिद्धि पाता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Durga roop niranjani, sukh sampatti data. Jo koi tumko dhavat, riddhi siddhi pata. Om jai Lakshmi mata.

You are the pure, formless form of Durga, bestower of happiness and wealth. Whoever meditates upon you receives prosperity and spiritual powers. Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

Verse 4

तुम पाताल-निवासिनि, तुम ही शुभदाता। कर्म-प्रभाव-प्रकाशिनि, भव-निधि की त्राता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Tum patal-nivasini, tum hi shubhdata. Karm-prabhaav-prakashini, bhavanidhi ki trata. Om jai Lakshmi mata.

You dwell in the netherworld too; you are the giver of all auspiciousness. You illuminate the effects of karma and save us from the ocean of worldly existence. Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

Verse 5

जिस घर में तुम रहतीं, सब सद्गुण आता। सब सम्भव हो जाता, मन नहिं घबराता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Jis ghar mein tum rahtin, sab sadgun ata. Sab sambhav ho jata, man nahin ghabrata. Om jai Lakshmi mata.

In whatever house you reside, all virtues come to dwell there. Everything becomes possible and the mind knows no worry. Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

Verse 6

तुम बिन यज्ञ न होते, वस्त्र न कोई पाता। खान-पान का वैभव, सब तुमसे आता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Tum bin yagya na hote, vastr na koi pata. Khan-pan ka vaibhav, sab tumse ata. Om jai Lakshmi mata.

Without you no yagna (sacred ritual) takes place; no one would have clothing. All the abundance of food, drink, and prosperity comes from you alone. Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

Verse 7

शुभ-गुण मन्दिर सुन्दर, क्षीरोदधि-जाता। रत्न चतुर्दश तुम बिन, कोई नहिं पाता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Shubh-gun mandir sundar, kshirodadhi-jata. Ratn chaturdash tum bin, koi nahin pata. Om jai Lakshmi mata.

Beautiful temple of virtuous qualities, born from the ocean of milk – without you no one would receive the fourteen divine jewels (that emerged from the cosmic churning). Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

Verse 8

महालक्ष्मीजी की आरती, जो कोई जन गाता। उर आनन्द समाता, पाप उतर जाता॥ ॐ जय लक्ष्मी माता॥

Maha lakshmiji ki aarti, jo koyi nar gata, Ur anand samata , paap utar jata. Om Jai Lakshmi Mata.

Whoever (any person/devotee) sings this Aarti of Goddess Maha Lakshmi, their heart becomes filled with pure joy and bliss, and all their sins are washed away. Glory to Mother Lakshmi!

जो भी मनुष्य या भक्त माँ महालक्ष्मी की इस आरती को सच्चे मन से गाता है, उसके हृदय (उर) में अपार आनंद भर जाता है और उसके सारे पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं (या धुल जाते हैं)। ओम, माँ लक्ष्मी की जय हो।
