The most popular Ganesha aarti, Jai Ganesh Jai Ganesh Deva is sung at the beginning of all auspicious events across India. Invoking the elephant-headed god of beginnings, it asks for removal of all obstacles.
॥१॥Verse 1
जय गणेश जय गणेश जय गणेश देवा।
माता जाकी पार्वती पिता महादेवा॥
लड्डुअन का भोग लगे, सन्त करें सेवा।
जय गणेश जय गणेश जय गणेश देवा॥
Jai Ganesh jai Ganesh jai Ganesh deva.
Mata jaki Parvati pita Mahadeva.
Ladduan ka bhog lage, sant karen seva.
Jai Ganesh jai Ganesh jai Ganesh deva.
Glory to Ganesha, glory to Ganesha, glory to the divine Ganesha! His mother is Parvati, his father is Mahadeva (Shiva). He is offered the sweet of laddoos and the saints serve him. Glory to Ganesha!
जय हो गणेश देव! जिनकी माता पार्वती और पिता महादेव हैं। लड्डुओं का भोग लगता है और संत सेवा करते हैं।
॥२॥Verse 2
एकदन्त दयावन्त चार भुज धारी।
माथे सिन्दूर सोहे मूसे की सवारी॥
पान चढ़े फूल चढ़े और चढ़े मेवा।
जय गणेश जय गणेश जय गणेश देवा॥
Ekadant dayavant char bhuj dhari.
Mathe sindoor sohe mouse ki savari.
Pan chadhhe phool chadhhe aur chadhhe meva.
Jai Ganesh jai Ganesh jai Ganesh deva.
Single-tusked, merciful, with four arms, sindhoor adorning the forehead, riding on a mouse. To you are offered betel leaves, flowers and dry fruits. Glory to Ganesha!
एकदंत, दयालु, चार भुजाओं वाले, माथे पर सिंदूर सजा, मूषक की सवारी करने वाले को पान, फूल और मेवे चढ़ाए जाते हैं।
॥३॥Verse 3
अन्धन को आँख देत, कोढ़िन को काया।
बाँझन को पुत्र देत निर्धन को माया॥
सूर श्याम शरण आए, सफल करो सेवा।
जय गणेश जय गणेश जय गणेश देवा॥
Andhan ko ankh det, kodhin ko kaya.
Bajhan ko putr det nirdhan ko maya.
Sur Shyam sharan aaye, saphal karo seva.
Jai Ganesh jai Ganesh jai Ganesh deva.
You grant sight to the blind, restore the body to the leprous, give sons to the childless, and wealth to the poor. Surdas takes refuge in you – make this service fruitful. Glory to Ganesha!
अंधे को आँखें देते हैं, कोढ़ी को काया मिलती है, बाँझ को पुत्र और निर्धन को धन। सूरदास आपकी शरण में आए हैं, सेवा सफल करें।
॥४॥Verse 4
दीनन की लाज राखो शम्भु सुत वारी।
कामना को पूर्ण करो जग बलिहारी॥
जय गणेश जय गणेश जय गणेश देवा।
माता जाकी पार्वती पिता महादेवा॥
Deenan ki laaj rakho Shambhu sut vari.
Kamna ko poorn karo jag balhari.
Jai Ganesh jai Ganesh jai Ganesh deva.
Mata jaki Parvati pita Mahadeva.
O son of Shambhu, protect the honour of the poor and the humble. Fulfil the desires of all – the world is your sacrifice. Glory to Ganesha, whose mother is Parvati and father is Mahadeva!
हे शम्भु पुत्र! दीन-हीनों की लाज रखें और जगत की मनोकामनाएँ पूर्ण करें।

विघ्न विनाशक मंगल मूरति।
सिद्धि सदन सुख संपत्ति दाता॥
हाथी मुख वर अभय करो।
जय गणेश जय गणेश जय गणेश देवा।
माता जाकी पार्वती पिता महादेवा॥

Siddhi sadan sukh sampatti data.
Hathi mukh var abhay karo.

Destroyer of obstacles, the very embodiment of auspiciousness, the abode of all siddhis, bestower of happiness and wealth – O elephant-faced one, grant us the boon of fearlessness. Glory to Ganesha!
