The most widely sung Hanuman aarti, performed at the conclusion of Hanuman Chalisa recitation in temples across India. Aarti Kije Hanuman Lala Ki praises the divine child Hanuman as the embodiment of Rama's power.
॥१॥Verse 1
आरती कीजे हनुमान लला की।
दुष्ट दलन रघुनाथ कला की॥
Aarti kije Hanuman lala ki.
Dusht dalan Raghunath kala ki.
Let us perform the aarti of Lord Hanuman, the beloved child, who destroys the wicked and is the very art and power of Raghunath (Lord Rama).
हनुमान लला की आरती कीजिए। वे दुष्टों का दलन करने वाले और रघुनाथ की कला के प्रतीक हैं।
॥२॥Verse 2
जाके बल से गिरिवर काँपे।
रोग दोष जाके निकट न झाँपे॥
Jake bal se girivar kampe.
Rog dosh jake nikat na jhampe.
By whose strength the great mountains tremble – disease and faults dare not approach him.
जिनके बल से बड़े-बड़े पर्वत काँप उठते हैं और रोग-दोष जिनके पास नहीं आते।
॥३॥Verse 3
अञ्जनी पुत्र महाबलदाई।
सन्तन के प्रभु सदा सहाई॥
Anjani putra mahabaldata.
Santan ke prabhu sada sahai.
O son of Anjana, the great bestower of strength! You are the Lord and ever-helper of all devotees and saints.
हे अंजनी पुत्र महाबली! आप संतों के प्रभु हैं और सदा उनकी सहायता करते हैं।
॥४॥Verse 4
दे बीरा रघुनाथ पठाए।
लंका जारि सिया सुधि लाए॥
De beera Raghunath pathaye.
Lanka jari siya sudhi laye.
Granted the title of hero by Raghunath and sent forth, you set Lanka ablaze and brought back news of Sita.
रघुनाथ ने वीरता की उपाधि देकर आपको भेजा। आपने लंका जलाई और सीता माँ का समाचार लाए।
॥५॥Verse 5
लंका सो कोट समुद्र सी खाई।
जात पवनसुत बार न लाई॥
Lanka so kot samudra si khai.
Jat pavansut bar na lai.
Lanka had walls like a fortress and a moat like the ocean, yet the son of the Wind god crossed them in no time.
लंका में किले की दीवारें और समुद्र की खाई थी, फिर भी पवनसुत ने पलभर में सब पार कर लिया।
॥६॥Verse 6
लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े सकारे।
आनि सञ्जीवन प्राण उबारे॥
Lakshman murhhit pade sakare.
Ani sanjeevan pran ubare.
When Lakshmana lay unconscious at dawn, you brought the Sanjeevani herb and saved his life.
लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े थे; आप संजीवनी लाए और उनके प्राण बचाए।
॥७॥Verse 7
पैठि पताल तोरि यम कारे।
अहिरावण की भुजा उखारे॥
बाई भुजा असुर दल मारे।
दाहिनी भुजा संतजन तारे॥
सुर-नर-मुनि जन आरती उतारें।
जय जय जय हनुमान उचारें॥
कञ्चन थार कपूर लौ छाई।
आरती करत अञ्जना माई॥
Paithi patal tori yam kare.
Ahirawan ki bhuja ukhare.
Bai bhuja asur dal mare.
Dahini bhuja santan tare.
Sur-nar-muni jan aarti utare.
Jai jai jai Hanuman uchare.
Kanchan thar kapoor lau chhai.
Aarti karat Anjana mai.
You entered the netherworld, broke open Yama's prison and uprooted Ahiravana's arm. Your left arm destroys armies of demons; your right arm saves the devotees. Gods, humans and sages all perform your aarti and chant 'Glory, glory, glory to Hanuman!' Mother Anjana performs the aarti with a golden plate and camphor flame.
पाताल में जाकर यम के बंधन तोड़े और अहिरावण की भुजा उखाड़ी। बाईं भुजा से असुर-दल को मारा, दाईं से संतों को तारा। देव-मुनि सब आरती उतारते हैं और 'जय जय जय हनुमान' कहते हैं। माता अंजना सोने की थाली में कपूर से आरती करती हैं।
